Internships:
This 3-month position, from June to August (or other
periods during the year), is designed to identify potential Analysts and provide an opportunity to become familiar with investment
banking in a "boutique" setting and the requirements
of the Investment Banking Analyst position.
Duties and responsibilities include: (i) collection,
processing, and analysis of business, financial and
market information; (ii) industry/market research and
analysis, economic research; (iii) company financial
analysis and valuation, including financial statement
analysis and modeling; (iv) participation in active
and prospective transactions; (v) management of certain
projects including significant responsibility
with respect to the firm’s annual Saratoga
Weekend. If you’ve seen The Apprentice,
you understand the challenge involved in organizing
and hosting such an event. – it’s an important
test for our Summer Interns.
Interns participate
in many activities directly with
the president of the firm.
Externships:
An externship gives college Sophomores and Juniors
a "a
day in the life" experience in a New York, investment
banking boutique. It is a day of listening, learning
and watching. Externs may or may not work on actual
client matters; however, they are presented with
a rare opportunity to sample the world of investment
banking and gain perspective and career advice from
well respected Wall Street professionals.
